Xarelto is a Factor Xa inhibitor that was initially released to combat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) which can lead to a pulmonary embolism when a hip or knee joint is replaced. Unlike the tailored dosage of a drug Warfarin, Xarelto is designed to be given to patients in a one size fits all dose. A common adverse reaction to Xarelto includes uncontrollable bleeding, which is problematic because the anticoagulant effect of the drug is not easy to monitor or reverse. Less dangerous side effects include itching, fainting, muscle pain, muscle spasms and pain in the arms or legs.
A comprehensive list of all documented potential Xarelto side effects is provided below. This list is by no means complete, and additional side effects will be posted as they are made public. It is always a positive idea to contact a medical professional for advice if you are experiencing any side effects from a medication.
It is important to remember this is not a complete list of potential side effects caused by the medication Xarelto.
If you or a friend has been diagnosed with abnormal and uncontrolled bleeding or any of the additional known side effects associated with Xarelto, it is possible you are eligible for compensation. The office of Frank Charles Miranda is available to review the merits of your case and help you in the process of filing a claim against the manufacturers of the medication.
